It is my pleasure to welcome you to Albion Academy, land of giants and home of some of the most talented staff and students in Salford. Albion Academy is a school community with drive, ambition and energy – and more opportunities for students than you’ll find anywhere else. Here you can join the RAF cadets and take to the skies, apply for a specialised place in our Sport or Dance Academy or represent us in debating, basketball, design technology, computing – to name but a very few. Students here study a wide and varied curriculum and get great results as well as learning the skills that will guide their working lives forever. Our mission is to prepare our students for a future in any field they choose – and we can introduce them to all the possibilities out there and help them make their decisions too.

High ambitions are central here – but it’s not all about work; the most successful people are the ones who get involved in all the academy has to offer: the drama shows, musicals, concerts and trips (how about outdoor pursuits, the giant Y7 sleepover, London visits and foreign travel?); the sporting victories, tournaments, tours; business and enterprise opportunities and national competitions – so take your opportunities and make the most of them!

It is my privilege to lead this academy and to be a part of what is vibrant and busy Salford locality; providing the best support for our young people takes everyone working together and I am so proud that our community does just that. Please get in touch if you would like any further information about us or our provision, and I do hope the information you find here on our website is useful to you.

Changing schools is an exciting and significant time for children and for their parents, and we know that you will have lots of questions.

At the Albion Academy, we aim for excellence in every aspect of our work with teachers, educational support staff, pastoral and service staff working together to ensure the very best support for our young people.

We make special provision for our gifted and talented pupils, as well as for those who have Special Educational needs and for pupils for whom English is an additional language.

We offer a good range of activities for young people and the wider community in the evenings and during holidays and have a strong relationship with local primary schools.
